It all started with a farmer.
Don Keller grew up on the family farm. He learned how to work with the land, raising crops and tending animals. He longed for a way to get his fresh local produce and plants to the public. In 1962, with the support of his wife and children, Don opened The Country Gardener. This small business was just the beginning. Over the years the family worked hard to make their business a success. It expanded to include a bakery and even traveled around to farmer’s markets throughout New York. The family’s drive and dedication to their product and their customers was their main focus.
Years later Don’s children, Dan and Lori, opened a business of their own. Maples Farm & Garden Center was built on the foundation that their father started. This second-generation family business focuses on outstanding customer service, exceptional quality, and superior selection. We have grown throughout the years to include landscaping, snow plowing, commercial sweeping, propane, and so much more. We are proud to be a member of this community and equally proud to serve you.
