Pumpkin Town has become an annual destination for many Tulsa families. We are happy to be celebrating our 15th year of operation and look forward to many more. As thousands of people visit Pumpkin Town each year, it's hard to believe it all started in 1999, our first location being on 101st and Memorial, with just a produce stand and a small tent. Today, Pumpkin Town has grown into a 20 acre farm with our newest and biggest attraction being our day and night time maze.
Pumpkin Town's founders, Lonnie and Melissa, started the business for extra income in order to send their children to school. They both already had full time jobs: Lonnie worked at TNT Fireworks and Melissa worked for Tulsa Public Schools as an early childcare educator. Through Lonnie's business acumen and Melissa's passion for children and families, Pumpkin Town was born.
As Pumpkin Town has grown, Lonnie and Melissa's children, Brigette, Phillip, and Margo have stepped up to provide skills vital to running the business. Phillip graduated from OU with an entrepreneurship degree and provides many of the operational and managerial skills at Pumpkin Town. Brigette is currently focusing on a PR degree and will be graduating within the next few years. Her main focus is social media, advertising, and public relations. Margo is currently working in Washington D.C. with an international criminal justice nonprofit organization.
Every year we look forward to the fast paced month and a half of people visiting Pumpkin Town. People love our train rides and many picture opportunities but we hope it's the magical moments and treasured memories that keep bringing you back each year. We pride ourselves on offering fun, family entertainment and make it our goal to continue to improve year after year.
